Facebook has confirmed the removal of all pages and groups actively promoting professional trophy hunting and safari commerce. I am now formalizing a review process to ensure these accounts do not reappear under different labels.

I am a Facebook Member and herewith I demand the immediate closing of all Pages/Groups/Communities, which pursue professional BIG GAME (Trophy) Hunting/Safaris and canvass for costumers. This is an ethical and moral misdemeanor in view of endangered WILDLIFE, because Facebook promotes the fast and continuous extermination of threatened species! This also applies to weapons dealer. It is a shame to promote all this!
Should Facebook did not follow my request, I will take action and completely delete my account, this also concerns my groups and other pages.

I'm not against hunting for conservation or food, but these trophy pages are obscene IMO. I came across one by accident --- cuddling the head of a dead lion or sitting astride a dead rhino…disgusting. Endangered species porn. Let them express their twisted egos somewhere else.
What good will all your trophies be when these animals become extinct, What story will you tell your children then? You people could spend your money on helping these animals to survive instead of doing what you are doing, STOP TROPHY HUNTING!! Cecil suffered for 40 hours, how many other animals suffer this for your sick enjoyment.
Mark, I know you are peaceful in Kaua'i now, I am from Hawai'i nei. I liken this killing of Cecil as if someone from Zimbabwe came over to USA and killed American Pharoah; hence, preventing him from siring many thoroughbreds. The gruesome images will remain with and haunt me always. Me ke aloha pumehana
Facebook, please stop promoting and supporting hunting pages and the glorification of murdering animals. Help make this world a better one and remove and ban ALL hunting pages.
It creates nothing but hurt and hate on fb. It's far too upsetting and graphic. Normal people love animals and don't want to see these pictures when they scroll

There is nothing "sporting" about killing such majestic creatures, many of which are threatened or endangered, in a canned hunt merely to use a piece of them as a trophy.
