FAA shouldn't have allowed this to go on for so many years. How's it that being on call 24hrs is legal? When do you get adequate rest? Why is it that pilots are on duty when sitting home reserve and flight attendants aren't? Don't we need adequate Rest to perform our duties safely? How's is it safe to be on call all day then get called for a red eye turn? This is unfair and unsafe.

It should be illegal for someone to be on call 24 hours a day. How could one possibly have the right amount of rest to sufficiently perform duties after being available for work for up to five days 24 hours a day?
