I have 36 years and a floater appeared in my vision and it annoy me, especialy because i have to read for work. But what annoys me much are doctors saying that it is NOTHING? How come this is not treated yet?

Until you suffer with eye floaters you can not imagine how difficult it is coping with them. Unfortunately after two vitreous detachments mine are severe and reading has now become a challenge. I have had them for a few years now and my brain has not 'ignored' them as some experts say it does. In this day and age when when medical science has improved so much it is disappointing that there is no safe and effective treatment for this debilitating condition.

I see this petition has well over the goal. Has anything resulted? I’ve had floaters since I was a girl, so ages 10-60. I think it’s bc I was severely nearsighted (long eyeball) so bits break off easier. Cobwebs, worms & dots dance in my vision.

Have had floaters since my early twenties
65 now and have cloud patches right in my line of sight. Have investigated vitrectomy surgery. Seems risky.
