We are Eritrean-Americans and members of a  civic and human rights organization called Eritrean Youth for Change (EYC) of the Bay Area. Our main objective is to help Eritrean Immigrants integrate with the society in the US and advocate for the implementation of the constitution of Eritrea by the Eritrean Government so as to address the current human rights crisis and absence of rule of law in this country of our fathers.
EYC calls on organizations to stand in solidarity with the people of Eritrea in their plight against a repressive regime.  If you agree that the people of Eritrea deserve peace, should live with full protection of their human rights, should not be forced to serve in the endless national service, should have the right to basic political, civil and human rights – and most of all, should not be forced to leave their home country in order to just live.  If you believe in all this, we ask you to sign the petition below.

Excerpts of your messages will be read at the public protest demonstration on Friday, May 27th in San Francisco starting at 10:00 from San Francisco Civic Center.
