The screen blurred as the portal loaded, but it wasn't the grades that made my heart sink. It was that new line: 20,000 Naira – Professional Sundry.
It feels like a betrayal. While we are out here calculating how to skip a meal just to afford the transport fare to an 8 AM lecture, the university is adding more weight to our shoulders. This isn't just "another fee"—it’s the money for the bag of rice that was supposed to last the month. It’s the transport money that gets us to campus. It’s the "other expenses" that keep us human.
How do they expect us to focus on results when our stomachs are empty and our pockets are drained? To add this without warning, at a time when so many of us are already hanging on by a thread, is more than just a financial burden. It’s a message that our struggles don't matter.
If this continues, the cost of "learning" will eventually cost us our well-being. We came here to build a future, not to be taxed out of one.

Honestly this is one of the wicked school I've seen, we really need SUG in this school called kwasu. The school authorities are very wicked!.. they don't even consider if we student are being affected by this useless charges on not all they care about is their pockets and how to scam students with unreasonable fees. Wish I've the power or something I can do to help remove this charges cause it's not easy being a kwasu student inside this bush. Thief's everywhere, lack of standard hospital, insecurities, you can't even walk at night on some area and be at peace. May Allah be with us and help reduce bad leadership everywhere.
