Extension of the deadline for the signature for the Recovery of Luxembourgish Nationality demand.

Please, 2021!

I had plans to travel from the U.S. to Luxembourg this summer to submit my citizenship paperwork, but will have to put plans on hold now. I would appreciate an extension through 2021. Thank you.

At least let us turn the paperwork in to the consulate and travel when safe.

Como eu e minha família que também está em processo de assinatura moramos no Brasil, no momento não temos como ir viajar, em virtude de fronteiras fechadas. E também pelo fato de que o local de assinatura NÃO está abrindo por causa do covid19. Gostaríamos que o prazo fosse prorrogado, afim de que todos trabalhamos, e não é tão fácil organizar uma viagem para a Europa. Minha viagem estava marcada para 23 de março. Com o cancelamento do voo sem data prevista para remarcar, e a falta de atendimento, da empresa responsável pela cidadania. Pedimos a prorrogação da assinatura/lei de cidadania que está prevista para encerrar 31/12/2020

My daughter, Emma Dillon, has been waiting for her Phase 1 documentation for 18 months, and we cannot make travel plans. Please help us by moving this deadline. We need this!

I too hope that the deadline can be extended until there is a vaccine and/or a declaration that it is safe to travel. Like many other petitioners I have been working hard to reclaim my ancestor's citizenship. I'm confident that the government of Luxembourg will do the right thing for its future citizens. This affects a lot of my family.

My two young sons and I had plans/flights to present our Phase 2 documents at the Bierger Center in early April, 2020. We began this reclamation process in early 2018, and live in Denver, Colorado, US. Given the serious challenges and risks associated with rescheduling the overseas trip amidst the very uncertain Covid-19 world, we would be sincerely grateful for an extension on the 31-December-2020 deadline. I have already regained my Luxembourg citizenship. I think it is only fair that the descendants who will not be able to complete the live stage on time due to the covid pandemic can still exercise their right. Thanks!
