The Bakerloo extension is desperately needed to support the residents and business of Camberwell, Peckham and Walworth.

Please bring the tube to Camberwell and Peckham to reduce all bus congestion on Walworth Road, Camberwell New Road and Camberwell Road for all the children travelling to & from school. There has never been a traffic jam on the Old Kent Road in living memory and people hardly travel to & from schools in the area. It is wide and there are places to park. Loads of new housing is being built in Camberwell and those people will need a tube!! Keep pollution load for all the pedestrians - on East Street Market all the way down the Walworth Road and Camberwell Church Street. There is much more street life here, loads more young people and professionals who would use the tube. Old Kent Road has virtually no pedestrians. It is all very American, people driving to parking lots to shop in big boxes. It does not need a tube.

Apart from the fact that it SOUNDS like a tube stop the fact is its the one major hospitals destination in London not served by a modern transport system . Denmark Hill lost the local Victoria line service and buses are crowded and overstretched. May sense prevail

This is a no-brainer. Camberwell is heavily congested - the traffic is terrible. The overground has been a god-send but it's terribly overcrowded. We have world-class hospitals, employing thousands of people but the infrastructure is struggling to keep up with the pace of demand. Buses travelling even a short distance take forever.

Kings College Hospital, The Maudsley Hospital, Camberwell Art College, The Magistrates Court and many new housing projects currently being built or just completed in Camberwell generate thousands of journeys every day. A new tube connection would take pressure off the bus routes to The Oval and Elephant and Castle.

My family have lived here in Camberwell for the past thirty years. The tube extension would be a real godsend not only for us but also for visitors to Kings and the Maudsley Hospital.
