King's College and the Maudsley Hospitals together with their associated buildings are an existing development which occupies a large area of Camberwell and yet they have no underground connection. Surely such world class, expanding facilities, with inevitably increasing visitor numbers, rate higher than any potential, as yet undefined, development on the Old Kent Road.

There is a march to support the Bakerloo extension via Camberwell on 29 November at 11am starting from Camb Green.

Kept in the dark for far too long. Inconceivable that this vibrant, diverse and hugely popular area is still so poorly served by transport infrastructure. We could literally be 10-15 mins away from Central London. No more excuses, we can't be sidelined any longer. Just do it. Please.

With one of London's biggest and busiest teaching hospitals on Denmark Hill, it must be right to route any extension within easy reach of it for the benefit of patients and staff alike.

Kings College Hospital, The Maudsley Hospital, Camberwell Art College, The Magistrates Court and many new housing projects currently being built or just completed in Camberwell generate thousands of journeys every day. A new tube connection would take pressure off the bus routes to The Oval and Elephant and Castle.
