My husband lost half his sick days for the year just because his kid caught it at daycare. This policy is punishing us for just trying to follow the rules.

HCS has shown how much they value their teachers with this decision.

Ten days barely allows for one quarantine or infection. HCS likes to say we are family, this is no way to treat a relative.

It’s unsafe for everyone involved for children to keep going to school. Nti needs to be brought back

One of my teacher friends contracted Covid; however, her daughters did not. So, she had to quarantine for 10 days, but since her girls did not contract it, they had to quarantine for 24 days. She only had 10 Covid days, so she was forced to use sick days for the remainder of days she had to take off to be with her girls.

I had to take 2 sick days while waiting for my test results. Because my results were negative, I did not qualify for Covid leave. Also, many people who actually have Covid say that they need more than the 10 days to fully recover.

Teacher are having a hard time and should not have to use their own sick days if quarantined or contract COVID19 we recognized this problem as soon as the policy was sent out.

We should allow the option of more days!
