Parking on the Wendelsworth Estate is currently controlled by the W3 controlled parking sub-zone, so that only permit holders can park between 10:30am - 11:30am, Monday to Friday.

This means that many non-residents can take up a large portion of the available parking after 11:30am during the week, making it difficult for Wendelsworth residents to park their own cars close to their homes.

We know that many residents are frustrated by this and have expressed an interest in extending the operational hours of the Wendelsworth parking sub-zone to bring it line with neighbouring roads in the W2 zone, which operates from 9:30am – 4:30am, Monday to Friday (max stay 2 or 4 hours).

This would help prevent shoppers and other mid-week visitors to Wandsworth from using the Wendelsworth Estate as a cheap parking option, and hopefully provide greater parking capacity for residents during the day. It would, however, mean that residents would need to purchase visitor permits for their guests and tradesmen visiting their properties during the new hours of operation.

If there is demand for a change to the hours of parking, your Conservative Councillors would like to support residents in achieving this. We have established an online petition for residents, which we will present to the Council in order to commence a formal parking review and Council consultation.
