It's a shame to deny 4-legged kids/family members enjoyment of the beautiful beach, park & family time !

What's another 4 weeks of a dog enjoying his/her freedom to run the beach while not in full use by the public? Our pets are family, they should have the entitlement to enjoy what we enjoy. We pay our taxes! Beaches in Florida are open all year round for pets, why can't greenwich take note on what kind of clean up programs that they or any other beach that allows pets, has...I've lived here all my life and back in the day, dogs were able to run free just like you and me. I've witnessed people not cleaning up after their dogs because they don't see them defecating due to the fact that they're too busy socializing. During this time of the year when the beach is dedicated to pets. Humans shouldn't be allowed!!

There is NO reason that Tod's should only be accessible for dogs from Dec-March. There is no one coming to the beach to lie in the Sun or swim in October, November or early April. The beach is basically barren during these months where temps are between 30-50 degrees. I see no reason why the beach can not extend the dog friendly dates by 2 weeks on both ends. The beach will still be completely underused both prior to and after these proposed 2 week extensions!! The dog park in Greenwich is absolutely disgusting and any responsible dog owner I know, won't risk having their dogs catch some parasite as they frolick on the mud hill next to the Sewer Treatment Plant. The town dump at Holy Hill is in better condition than Greenwich's Dog Park! And, planting a tree or a few plants at the Dog Park will do nothing so save the taxpayers some money and don't bother with a "tree to hide the view of the treatment plant". It's not the VIEW that is the problem!! Thank you.

The beaches on long Island have the same issue and the dogs are allowed on the beach from 9/15 to 4/30

The beach is underutilized during this period and would not negatively impact the community.
