She should definitely be expelled. Suspension from the soccer team is not enough to express the seriousness of her actions as a representation of GSU; one of the most diverse universities in the U.S.

True. The right way would have been to force her to stand front of a room full of black students and see if she had the balls to say the word then, and then deal with whatever consequences arose.
BTW, you, like so many others, confuse the legal system with a pay-in situation with a set of rules. Ms Martinez is in no way entitled to due process if her actions bring harm on the name of the university. This is no different than the NFL suspending a player regardless of the outcome of the legal process. She's free to go to another school and join their team, if they'll have her.

isn't a demand to expel a form of hate? India Bridgeforth also demonstrates behavior that is uncivil. Apparently Ms Bridgeforth does not believe in due process...and the president is obviously spineless....there is a right way and a wrong way to deal with this sort of matter....Ms Bridgeforth and the president chose the cowardly way.

Racism is a taught behavior and not a learned behavior. It’s just sad to see that more young people are not making more positive changes in this world. We are going backwards. When you have a racist running the country.....I guess we should not expect to see much change in this world!
