There is absolutely no excuse for that young lady’s behavior and I do believe that she deserves an effective punishment so that she not only knows that this is wrong but this incident can be used as an example for other students seeking to do the same foolish act.

She is briefly suspended..that’s just a free day for her, IF she apologizes she won’t even mean it. Idc “as a freshman she’s growing talk” she is a STUDENT-ATHLETE she knows she represents the school & needs to respect the STUDENTS around her! she needs to lose her scholarship for at least a year to humble her horrible attitude and gain respect!

It is 2018 and I , along with other black or “African American “ students that attend this university will not stand for racism at any level. Especially out right racial language that is both offensive and insensitive!!! Expulsion from the university is the only answer to this problem!

It’s exhausting to see people not of color continue to use this word and behave so ignorantly. Natalie Martinez’ internal issues with black people are hers and hers alone to deal with. As a student of a popular school in Georgia, her actions need to be dealt with in a stronger manner.

Georgia State U WILL NOT correctly address the situation unless many people post it on the twitter account for the school so EVERYONe can see what’s happening, then they’ll be forced to act appropriately!!

This is just ridiculous. Like, oh no, she has to sit out of a soccer game. Well those slaves had to sit out in the fields their entire lives. Deal with it correctly, GSU.

It’s utterly ridiculous and quite frankly, it needs to be dealt with accordingly!

I feel as though several students do not understand the severity of the word and feel as though they can say it without consequence.

It does not shock me that this took place, however, GSU needs to take the appropriate measures and remove her from the institution and all of its affiliations. This type of behavior is completely unacceptable and should be handled in the appropriate manner.

As a member of a school that promotes diversity, and promotes being open-minded to learning and exploring different cultures, this is not acceptable. Also being a college student, one should be knowledgeable of their actions and the consequences that follow certain actions.
