This visa delayed timeline is so unpredictable and not reflected with the tentative time required posted on IRCC website. Signing this petition as I also have planned to apply for visa in next fall 2023

This processing times need to be shorter. Our future shouldn't be jeopardised because of your negligence.

I'm a fully funded graduate student selected for admission into the University of Northern British Columbia. My supervisor and I will be working on a research project funded by CIHR. It's a wet lab-based project, so I must present physically at the start of the semester. I have already applied for my study permit on 11th April, but still there has no update on my application. I may lose my stipend offer if I can't arrive in Canada before September. In this circumstance, I utterly request to consider our situation and help us to fulfill our higher studies dream by processing our application faster.

I applied to Canada a few months back, but there have been no actions. My class was scheduled to begin on the 16th of May, and I had already paid my tuition. But IRCC has yet to make a final decision. What am I supposed to do at this point? My frustration is starting to rise. I'm wasting my time since IRCC Singapore is unable to make a conclusion. I'm also being financially and psychologically harmed as a result of this. Because of their inability to make decisions, I fear for my future.

5/6 months for a study permit processing is way too much which can affect the student mentally. Bangladeshi students are going through this each day and this must be stopped. Our applications need to be prioritised.

Please reduce the visa processing time. It is so difficult situation for me as a studuent who applied three months before the class starting time but I need to deferre my session for next intake. Because the visa processing time take twice and sometime thrice then the normal processing time.

I have applied for study permit on March 13. Still no update on May 27. I am really worried about my admission and the funding I got at the University of Alberta. Hope IRCC fixes the issues soon!

It’s very unfortunate that Bangladeshi students are suffering a lot with late decision for Study Permit in Canada. As far as I know, students from our neighbouring countries are getting their Study Permit within a month where from Bangladesh it's taking around 5-7 months which is really a curse for us.
My humble request to the IRCC that please normalize the processing time for Bangladeshi students and help us to earn good education in time instead of tons of frustrations.
Thanks

I plan to apply for my Student permit next month. But, with all the backlog of visa decisions being pending, I am afraid that I would not receive my Student permit on time and this will hamper my classes which start on September 2022.

I have reapplied for my study permit along with my husband's OWP in March. However, waiting for a decision. In the mean time I got opportunity to study in Denmark as well. Thus, I am in uncertain situation and in delimma. Now I have 2 options left: either apply to the University to return my deposit of 4000 CAD and stop wasting my time Or forget about this deposit and accept the offer from Denmark?
