Every year thousands of students apply to Canada from different countries. Students from Bangladesh are no different; they also apply in the hope of getting their study permit approved and studying in Canada. What is different is that it is currently taking around 5 (or more) months for IRCC to process students' files from Bangladesh. Because of the long wait time, many students are losing their funding, admission, hopes, and dreams. Not to mention the countless sleepless nights and the mental stress they are going through. We know everything is uncertain in these troubled times. But a timeline should not be uncertain. Prospective students' dreams should not be uncertain. We urge IRCC to clear the backlog for Bangladeshi students and provide decisions on time. A timely decision will help qualified students seek other possibilities while still pursuing their dreams.

The current level of engagement provides the necessary leverage to escalate this request to the regional visa office. I am finalizing a formal letter summarizing these concerns to be delivered to the IRCC processing center this week.

I'm Shamina, from Bangladesh.I submitted my study Permit application to IRCC at 13 December 2021, however, there is no update since 165 days passed.Bangladeshi students are awaiting for decision from 6 months. Please decide our application as early as possible.
The Canadian student visa processing time is painstakingly longer than in any other region for Bangladeshi applicants. Many students have to defer their university admission only due to lengthier visa processing time. The has to be a solution to this issue.
Could you please process the Study Permit and OWP applications on an urgent basis because if I don't get SP before Fall'22 session, I will have to defer the starting of the semester to next fall'23 and I am going to miss one year of our life. Thanks.
I applied for Study Permit on April 25. The eligibility review has not started yet. My class will start on September 6. My intended DLI program doesn't have guaranteed deferral if I don't get the visa and appear there physically before start of my class.
I applied on 29 November but still no update at all. I completed one semester online . I request the Singapore Visa Office to expedite the processing time for Bangladeshi applicants. It is making us depressed and unsound mentally and financially.
I've been waiting for more than 6 months for my visa result. This is extremely frustrating and waste of my valuable time. IRCC Singapore should work faster to provide visa result.
Any steps taken by IRCC will be a true blessing for the Bangladeshi applicants. Hope to get a feedback from them.

Please think about our future. Among us, many students are losing funds due to the delay. They will have to start the process all over again. The rest are having a growing study gap. This will affect our careers. Please help us get out of this limbo.
