An estimate of more than 8 million Brits live abroad, with a quarter of them living in the EU. Many were unable to take part in the Brexit vote and most, it is expected, would have voted to stay in the EU if they could have done.
As the British government goes into its next round of ‘negotiations’ regarding the country’s exit from the EU, isn’t it time that we all stop complaining to each other about it and try to do something?!

I have been reviewing the experiences shared by fellow expatriates across the continent. These accounts highlight the profound personal uncertainty caused by the current negotiations. We are preparing to present these testimonies to the relevant government offices.

The momentum behind this initiative has grown significantly in recent weeks. It is encouraging to see so many individuals engaging with this cause and recognizing the importance of our collective position.

That Brexit was decided without the votes of British citizens living abroad was scandalous. I still believe the premise of Brexit is fundamentally wrong and the way is is being carried a disgrace.
Futile with current government and opposition, however, strength of numbers may lend weight to a better than expected legislative divorce settlement for us expat Europhiles. Perhaps akin to Switzerland & Norway who do not suffer terribly from trade and travel. Stiff upper lip.
A british subject that was not allowed to take part in thus referendum that affects me enormously.
I am not British, but we have properties and business interests in Britain - myself and my husband are not able to find any sense in division instead of unity.
Even though I am not British and don't live in the UK, I manage a British company. As a direct result of the BREXIT and the consequent effect on the EUR vs GBP exchange rate, we had to lay off several people to counter the margin drain and to avoid incurring heavy losses.
They refused to let Expats vote or poor peoples. Its electoral FRAUD!
i am not an expat in Prague, but used to be expat in London. I know it is mistake for UK and EU to break apart. I also know that this is happening thanks to influence from abroad, it is not indigenous movement!

Democracy was not served for the expat British citizens working and living in EU due to free movement who were not allowed to vote in the Brexit referendum. It is one thing to disallow domestic elections but quite another in Europe related ones. I feel that my human rights were violated and I would hope that there would be a rethink and that we all who have been overlooked be allowed to vote and have it added to the results of the 2016 referendum.
