The trade of exotic animals brings in $15 billion dollars a year, making it the third largest black market in the U.S. just behind drugs and guns. About a quarter of this trade is illegal. Many of these animals that are bought as pets go to irresponsible owners who don\'t have the means or the knowledge to take care of them properly, and in turn the animals often end up getting abused and neglected. There are nearly 20,000 exotic felines alone living as pets in the U.S. Our goal is to save these animals from abusive homes and to make the private ownership of exotic animals illegal.
