I would like to propose that the members of the kitah koninut be exempt from paying the monthly security charge as a measure of hakarat hatov. I need to make clear that, as a member of the kitah koninut, I am not a disinterested party. Several times a year, the kitah koninut takes off from work to do full day eminum, so we could be ready for the eventuality that we hope never happens. Additionally, when there is an incident, like last night, we stay at the ready for many hours till we get the 'all clear; from Zerubavel. Most importantly, the kitah will be the ones to potentially take a bullet for each and every one of our friends and neighbors. In fact, they are putting the public's safety even before that of our families. Once the member of the kitah koninut gets activated, he leaves his wife and kids home and in danger if the terrorist stumbles upon his house. This is not an original idea, I believe this is the policy in Kiryat Sefer or some other neighboring community. If the kitah koninut gets their exemption, it would probably result in each remaining family to pay an additional shekel to cover the security fee; not alot to ask for those who are willing to risk their lives for you. If you think this is a good idea, please sign the petition
