Not only will the white pines be affected by this plan, all property values in the area will suffer a downgrade. People who live in this area have paid more for their homes and properties because of the white pines and will lose on re-sale if the pines are removed for intensification. If the pines are not removed, there is not enough room to build a second house on these lots.

We are already losing a large portion of our older trees to Emerald Ash Borer, so removing the large pines will completely change the nature of our community. The trees and spacious lots make this community more walkable and better for cyclists, and our roadways cannot support more vehicle traffic.

Infill has drastically changed the nature of Westboro (and not for the better) and should not be encouraged or allowed in other uniquely distinct areas such as Trend-Arlington.
