Hello Everyone! My name is Lizzie Quinn and I am a senior at Conard High School who is currently taking government class. I do not believe that I should have to take the final for this class, for a host of reasons. One is that I have a semester grade of 99%. I am an extremely active class participant, and I participate in government in a variety of ways outside of the classroom, including working at the polls on election day, attending multiple town meetings, and I will even be travelling to Washington D.C. next week to witness the 45th Inauguration. The other reason is that I am a senior. While I would be taking this exam during Midterm week, it is still a final because Government is a semester long course. For almost all other courses a Conard, seniors do not have to take their course's finals if they have above a 70% in those classes. I clearly have a much higher grade than that and have demonstrated that I have a high level of comprehension for the course material. Therefore I do not believe that I should be required to take this exam.
