Protect the Exe: Stop Excessive Control & Charges from the Proposed HRO

There is more than enough statutory power to manage the Exe estuary as is. The proposals will negatively affect business and leisure users of the River.

No management budget we are being asked to sign a blank cheque. I have had a mooring for over 50 years. And it’s working well now please do not build another level of beurocracy!

Over policing, discriminatory approach to exclusion zones on the river, safety concerns, waste of tax payers money

There should never be any charge for the usage of a public facility and entitlement. Especially one thjat has raw sewage pumped into it.

In all my fury I forgot to add the No in no more rules and red tape. The councils will be having us drive at 10mph and battery cars only if they could. An impossible situation with recharging stations none existent and half hour charging times per car.

I strongly object. This is empire building and adding bureaucracy where it's not needed.

Outrageous as usual. Council’s across the land drunk on their own self worth and power. Let’s stop dictating and bring shared happiness and joy with more rules and red tape.

Object to the proposed HRO on the grounds that it could: Impose unnecessary bureaucracy Undermine the independence of local businesses Introduce unclear and potentially onerous licence terms Grant the council disproportionate enforcement powers Remove the rights of water users that have been enjoyed for hundreds of years It needs re drafting

The River Exe is the jewel in the crown of Exmouth, Enjoyed by people from around the UK and far beyond. So I put this to you. Do the people in the vicinity of Hyde Park have to pay a license fee because they are local and use the park. I don't think so. So why should we have to pay for our recreation?

As a very frequent user of the river. I do not see the justification behind the new proposals. If the water is to be charged for (like salcombe/dartmouth) the facility’s and service should be of equal measure. Which with the marine being privately owned, seems an impossible system.
