Protect the Exe: Stop Excessive Control & Charges from the Proposed HRO

Bureaucracy gone mad.

Stop the Hro and keep the river exe as we know it.

I absolutely do not support this plan

This is outrageous. I can see no benefit whatsoever in this plan

This will push affordable boating/water sports out of the reach of many people. Absolutely no need to police the river Exe in this way

This proposal is a desperate attempt to control amd generate income from a small group of people. Sadly the history of the river, its users and the many businesses around the river will be lost. The only people that will be paying for it is the boating community. They will leave ! It would appear to be a self perpetuating money making machine. The irresponsible management of the comercial port when it was one saw the end of shipping on the river. Now the attention has been turned to the boating community to make up what the council has thrown away. I fear that the consultation is nothing more that going through the motions and that the concerns of the Exe users will be ignored.

I strongly object to forced controls that will spoil the free use of the Exe by recreational boaters.

Keep the Exe the Exe!

Exeter City Council has been a disaster at setting up businesses. To allow them to set up a separate entity of self interested people/businesses that can borrow money, is stupidity beyond believe. It will go bankrupt and fail in no time at all. Heaven help us from economic illiterates. Our present system has worked fine for decades, leave it alone.

The proposal is a major change in UK citizens’ rights. Read the HRO and realise the unheralded power given to a regional municipality that itself is planned to be unitary in near future. Be aware of Cash cow monopolisation.

The HRO is an unnecessary bureaucracy that is attempting to resolve problems that do not exist. Please leave river users alone to enjoy the benefits of river life with out this onerous costly and inefficient quango.

The river has self managed itself efficiently for decades and does not need an added layer of control and liscencing
