PLEASE NO. Have we learnt nothing from the child abuse scandals? This is a Christian nation which abhors violence against children - let alone child sacrifice.

Cannot allow anything to do with child sacrifice to have a place in Britain. This is not about 'right to religion'. I could start a religion tomorrow that demands that I kill everyone with blond hair. Doesn't mean anyone with half a brain should allow it!

There are many other structures that would be more appropriate to place in the heart of a Christian nation. The replica of the temple of Baal is wholly inappropriate in a society fighting human traficking of children and with laws that protect the rights of children.

The location of this temple to a pagan god alongside Nelson's column, a national symbol and monument to freedom, gives it an equivalence it does not merit in our country. Put it in a museum where the context will give it its historical due but not the impression that Baal is to be venerated here. Baal worship is not part of our history and encouraged the opposite of all that I as a Christian hold dear and that this country should uphold.

Whilst I fully support tolerance and a reasoned approach to most subjects, this is most definitely a step too far. Tolerance is not about being marginalised, it is time that the voices of the moderate and meek are heard and understoood, Please stop this monstrosity now.

Do not allow this in our Capital City, would you countenance a Satanic display? You must stop this now

You need to look at the orignial intent of this Tower 's creation and ask "do we want to edify that? Whether you have a faith or not. As a christian I would profoundly not want this build in a pivital part of the City of London.

Why in an age of such social depravity , where so much evil is being committed against the innocent and the vunrable should even think of having such a monstrosity ?
