This is a petition started to have stricter laws set in place agianst those who are criminaly neglegent and decide to drive while under the influence of alcohol. While this is not directed to those who consume , sale ,or distribute alcohol responsible it is intended to deter those who handle this substance in sucha manner that they become a menace to society.It is estimated that 10,288 people lost their lives in 2010 across the nation to people who did not have the common sense to call a cab, or have a designated driver. Now I can go on forever with the horror stories about howthese miscreants affect the lives of those who are law abiding,but I'll only give you a few. Let's start with Kayla Mendoza, the girl who tweeted she was "2 drunk 2 care" before she took lives, or how about the case in Texas where another drunk driver ended up killing four teens(actually five including the sister of one of the victims who subsequently commited suicide as a result) and fled the country. These and millions of more cases like them are not just accidents and those who choose to indulge in alcohol and drive are delibratley putting everyones life at risk. That is why I ask for your signature lets protect our families.
