Open commerce ER.

We have used this ER several times and it is needed in Commerce.

Commerce had a 4 percent growth rate and Internet says Hunt County 18 percent growth rate. Satellite sites emergency services needed. Plus a neighborhood going in with $500,000 homes because Commerce had the infrastructure to attract that. With a University and it's thousands of students the in case is necessary for mass casualty incidents such as storm, tornado, or bomb. Before you say the latter not likely. The gun shot incident half hour apart with a rifle from the sound near the university up in a higher level besides ground level distinctly says community being checked for tolerance level and gaps in systems as it grows I. Addition property near the university has been labeled by Hunt County Appraisal as College Expansion Areas. So need for emergency facility a given with that growth.

Do not close this facility. People need emergency medical care.

This ER needs to be open to save lives in Commerce.

Voting one week and closing the ER the next week due to a “financial emergency” indicates extremely poor leadership—and even worse communication with taxpayers/constituents. The Commerce Community was blindsided. In addition, excuses were made that the majority of cases were not “ real emergencies” . Analysis of records obtained by use of the Public Information Act documents the fallacies of those statements Public hearings should be held along with audits of the financial records, board actions, and actions of the administration. Commerce serves a large population—including a University with Division 1 athletics. The Commerce ER is vitally important to this area. I know many people whose lives have been saved by the actions of the excellent ER doctors and staff at the Commerce ER. . I fear that lives will now be lost.

I had to go here twice. The five minute ride as opposed to a thirty minute ride to Greenville made all the difference to my compound fracture and abdominal pains.

This community really need this ER, they are needed and very good. Lots of old people and lots of young people going to college here.

We need our E.R. back

Please reopen!

Stop spending where it takes away from the health of others!! Your CEO’s, etc are getting paid! This is BS and so harmful for the residents of these communities!! Shame on you!!

Please re open this will put more people having to go to Greenville or out to Sulphur Springs and that will make their ERs more crowded. We need to have an ER we can get to and not have to wait hours and hours to receive care the wait at Hunt Regional in Greenville takes hours to receive care.

Please! It has been so much help to us.

I’m very concerned about the ER Shutdown. My family and I live in a rural area and having a ER in commerce easy our minds with emergency care. Now we have to go to Greenville ER and the wait is longer and rooms are going to be filled up more. At least the ER in commerce can keep a patient stable until being transferred to right facility. I believe it’s a mistake closing down commerce and Quinlan ER’s

In December if this ER had not been open my husband Randell Basham would have died. He had double pneumonia and they got his oxygen level back up to 78 and got him stable and transported him to Greenville by ambulance. There is no way I could have gotten him to Greenville in time. He was in ICU on a ventilator for 3 days fighting for his life after coding soon arrival to Greenville hospital

Please keep our ER open.

I nor my sister in law would be here without this ER. Another 20 minutes to greenville and we would've died. Please reopen our ER!
