Grass roots football is massive. People with normal 9-5 jobs who love the game, get that sense of being part of something and to most people abit like myself it’s there highlight of the week. The pre match nerves and excitement and that hope you get of scoring that goal you saw on match of the day the weekend before.

Playing at St Mary’s is one of the highlights of the week for me and my colleagues. We would love to continue to play here!

Please make a proportionate decision that balances the needs of the many people who need to play sport across the city and those who live nearby.

The is a key part of the local community and a good use of local resources. We rely on it for our weekly game and it does not disturb any local residents

How are the residents complaining about this? It’s a bunch of civilised football 5-a-side matches that finish before 9pm: well within the council’s restricted sound and light disturbance timings. These residents need to stop being such entitled pricks - you live in Battersea, stop thinking you’re so special...

This is ridiculous. Football567 does an incredible job hosting football games on this pitch that are well-organised and civilised.

This is the only time and place I can get exercise and social interaction during the week due to my busy schedule, by taking this away myself, teammates and fellow recreational users will suffer

The loss of St Mary’s pitch would have a huge impact to the local community. Over the past months, the venue has become local hub for affordable football within battersea. It’s a great location/pitch and the easily the best price in london. It’s also available for private hire on a week to week basis rather than being totally booked up like Battersea Park, Battersea Sports Centre and Wandle Centre. Please consider the negative impact to the local community if closure goes ahead!
