Evansville, Indiana is in need of a natatorium to be used for swimming instruction, training and competition. The natatorium would also provide opportunities for recreation and fitness. Currently, Evansville has one public indoor pool that is overcrowded and outdated. The community needs a new year-round home for swimming.

Desperately needed in this community. Every high school in VC uses this pool for swim team as well as the city teams and it is over crowded. The community would get so much use from an additional pool that could be used all year. We could host large swim meets that could draw many traveling teams. That would be a great way to fill up hotel rooms and get people spending money at our restaurants. Could be great extra revenue for our city.

Desperately in need of a great facility. Lloyd pool too crowded. Much smaller cities in the area have better facilities. If help needed to get more signatures via other media, email me. Thanks

My son swims for school and the pool situation is a joke. Time for us to catch up with the rest of the state.

Our community supported the 3.4 million Goebel Soccer Complex, even when people were questioning the cost the Evansville Convention and Visitors Bureau stated the economic impact it will have. It now brings in more than 3 million to the greater Evansville community. A Natatorium will also bring in events that will generate economic impact when participants stay in Hotels, eat at our restaurants and visit our retail stores. The Natatorium can be used year around and will generate money every time Evansville hosts events. We don't see people playing soccer or baseball in the winter but that is when the High School swim teams are gearing up for their season. We need to show support for all sports, we have put new football fields in our High Schools at a cost of around 800,000.00 each, than we spend around 14 million on the Baseball and Softball complex adjacent to the Goebel Soccer Complex. Doesn't it sounds like it's time to build on that economic development and build a state of the art Natatorium in Evansville!
