There is no excuse to not evaluate prior to further development. We cannot be an exemplary green institute of education if this corruption is occurring in our backyard.

Wetlands are a important contributor to overall health of ecosystems and the planet...new arenas are not. There are many more important infrastructure projects that could be done with this large sum of money...like bike infrastructure.

The city has plenty of arenas. The preservation of the environment and of natural features is far more important than facilitating sport entertainment that isn't even centrally located in the community.

There are already two arenas in Peterborough, there is no need for a third. When I first came to Trent in 2015 I was amazed at how little trash there was in campus and how mindful the school seemed to be about it's environmental impact. That has since gone to the wayside and it's shameful.

Allowing and promoting the construction of this arena shows how disingenuous Trent really is. The university should practice what it preaches.

Putting the arena here is a travesty. Paving wetlands is criminal and the impact on the Environmental Centre will be huge. Shame

As an ecologist, I don't think there is adequate justification for destroying or degrading this wetland and the other natural features at this location. These ecosystems are necessary and need to be protected.
