I support this petition 100%. My husband and I pulled our son out of KP and enrolled him in a private school. Our decision was based solely on the fact that ,he was clearly not getting the help he needed and deserved, despite his IEP. Liess told us that "there was nothing else that they could do for him." My son is dylexic and clearly there are many programs that should and could have been made available to him but were not. luckily, he is thriving at his new school.

KP parent for 10 years. 2.5 to go and counting. I completely disengaged from the school when nothing was done about the complaints 4 years ago. The professionalism and quality of Principals at NBMS and WJHS show how at risk KP is. Thank goodness for KPES quality teachers that have stuck it out for the children since private school isn't an option.

The information provided by Mr. Bonetti warrants investigation. We are new parents to the school and so far have been unimpressed by the lack of communication by the school administration. Of note, I was shocked that the school held lockdown drills without notifying the parents they were happening so that we could be prepared to answer questions from our kindergartner.

Childhood education and well being need to be the focus of the KP Community. Outside activities cannot serve as a distraction to administrators, educators, employees and volunteers in carrying out this daily mission.

At this point something needs to be done. I believe an audit/investigation by the Board of Education will help clear up any inconsistencies or concerns the school may have on the administration. Thank you for your help.

I am concerned that being a realtor is a very involved and constant time commitment and does not seem compatible with being a school principal. Current KP family

Parent of both current and former KP students. I hope the allegations will be investigated as they absolutely and obviously should be. Also, thank you to Mr. Bonetti for your courage in doing what's right for our children and the KP community.

KP s a wonderful school. Unfortunately, I don't think most parents realize how disconnected the Principal is until their children leave the school and experience other public or private schools. I have approached the Principal on a number of issues in our 8 years at KP and we are either ignored or deferred to someone who has no authority to change a process or thinks a one sentence email will fix the problem. I think our school does so well because we have wonderful teachers. The principal may influence our teachers happiness but her lack of responsiveness or concern has always been an issue for us.

Current KPES parents. It does concern us at a basic level that the principal is also a professional Realtor; we would like to believe doing both successfully is possible, but see nothing wrong in asking questions about this commitment.

As a KP parent, I believe allegations of misconduct by any staff members should be thoroughly and promptly investigated.

An unbiased assessment of the issues and concerns must be completed before the KP community can move forward. Hopefully, Dr. Sirgo can conduct such an assessment.

We are former KP parents who experienced horrific examples of leadership and reported this to MCPS almost 4 years ago...with zero results!
