Trust that you are well. The creation of this petition has been a class discussion for the past few days. We, the ISTN Honours Class of 2016, are requesting for an extension with regards to the Ethical Hacking Assignment. We are experiencing major technical issues such as major lags as well as BSOD and boot problems when installing Kali Linux. Along with that, the systems and websites in the tutorials that are been taught,through videos and demonstratons for programs such as Kali Linux, Hackthissite, Nmap etc, are using open ports with minimal security so its seeming quite easy to capture data. However, due to our assignment been focused on a real life company, the security is quite tight and is restricitng us from capturing data needed for the document. This is done through honeypots, firewalls, pattern tracking etc. Therefore, we are pleading for an extension regarding the due date as we are trying our utmost hardest to obtain exceptionally well results. Due to the strike, we are being restricted from using the LAN computers at UKZN to avoid technical errors. We once again urge for an extension on the due date.
