Where does the invested money come from? If any comes from tuition fees then the student body should be consulted regarding investment. The logo on the university's electric vehicles is "driving sustainable change," but that can't happen if money isn't being invested ethically. Can it?

It is understandable that it is in your interest to invest where you will make the best return but it is also evident that to change public opinion big moves must be made by those most influential. Universities have an incredible opportunity to follow through with this, being seen as green is increasingly becoming a social priority and divesting your funds into sustainable projects could bolster a growing scene, prioritising the future of all and not just the lining of a few pockets (which may already be fuller than most).

Please take note of the strong feeling amongst students and staff at the university that as an institution we should divest from fossil fuels and other unethical companies. Highly disappointing that we have such a poor record on this. If we divest we will be leading in the sector in terms of ethical investments.

I graduated from Exeter last summer and am gutted that it invests so heavily in fossil fuels, arms and tobacco companies. I want to respect the place that I studied but at the moment I can only feel ashamed.

We hope to attract young people from the UK and across the globe to our university. It is important to be seen not to be supporting industries which are known to harm these young people and their communities, in particular companies involved in the Arms trade, tobacco and climate changing fossil fuel companies.

to hold a portfolio of tobacco companies and petrochemical companies makes the uni colic it on the social and environmental damage done by those companies. It is inexcusable and hypocritical.
