This will be a significant recognition of an amazing woman. She had the foresight and integrity to organize this amazing service organization during a very difficult time in our nation's history for African Americans and Women.

I would like to believe that the change in school uniform was supposed to have a Positive effect for the school and positive for the children. However, given the quality of the proposed school uniform and the unrealistic budget while considering the white color of our school shirt. Am convinced totally that this change can't be positive. Did the school think about the tension some of the children would be subjected to?Does the school understand the kind of pressure this may cause ? A child with a white shirt of 6,500 and who after art class has colors all over. Colors that can't get off. He gets home and mum sees this , what then ? The white shirt I believe was set in place to make sure every child had no choice but to be neat. Which explains why parents could source them. This white shirts being worn in a country like ours , an environment like ours can only remain white for a while. If the same white shirt is worn in the uk , it has a longer white span. Our environment is humid and dirty regardless of whether you sit in your house or trod down the road.
Has the school considered the negative impact of wearing an expensive school shirt. The school banned the girls from extension so as to reduce distraction. What about this? The children with new uniforms are the cool ones ? To buy one set each of the new uniform I'll need 50k ? When usually I'd only need £17 for the same set. 3packs of shirt Asda £4.50 , school skirt £6 and two pack m$s school shorts £6 . Converted to Naira , about 18k is all I need. A rise of about 200% on school uniform? Polices are flexible to fit perfectly into different situation. It's not one size fits all.
I speak for myself , my family and a few friends Having our children at grange was our decision. This is because being a British initiated community we thought things would be done right as compared to regular Nigerian schools. Having our children at grange is a sacrifice of our time and finances just because for our children we w
