I don't know much about this lady but in the UK it is a long-standing tradition to honour those who brought the most notable social reforms, either through banknotes or stamps. Reading about this lady's endeavours and drive for a very special kind of social reform, in which she succeeded and which still stands today, seems to me to be testament as to why she should be remembered and celebrated via the US stamp system. Ethel Hedgeman Lyle is a Supreme Visionary, who is responsible for the creation of the first African-American Sorority in 1908 @ Howard University, Washington, D.C. She deserves to be recognized with her image on a US Postal stamp, so that her legacy can be preserved in perpetuity.
