To start a law requiring that caretakers of children and dependent adults take a toxicology test at the time of any incident in which a child or dependent adult is injured or killed. This is a mandatory requirement in an autopsy, and is should also be mandatory when a child or dependent adult is injured or killed in any type of questionableaccident. The person responsible for the life and care of any human being should be tested when the victim of the accident is brought to any Emergency Room to be cared for. This should be a nationwide law. All caregivers should be held responsible for any and all accidents. Toxicology reports would be of assistance to courts, and law enforcement. If there are questions or reasons to believe that there was more to the story or that the injury or death was caused by negligence or abuse, the caretaker needs to be subject to a toxicology test.

This is a good cause.With the drug abuse epidemic as bad as it is with some children even having both parents abusing drugs. I feel that each state should do drug testing on the parents when a child is injured or dies at the hands of the parent from abuse and/or neglect.We need more laws to protect children and stricter pentalities.
Too many kids are getting hurt because of drugs. This needs to be a law everywhere right now.
About time we hold people accountable. Drugs ruin everything and innocent kids are the ones paying the price.
