But considering the extensive uproar that has risen amongst the students both at the meeting and in the mailing list; it is only logical to produce a petition that can hopefully put the value of Esthers presence in the school into perspective for the principals.
It is not the schools intention to shut down the 3D-lab, instead they whish to reopen Esther's position for new applicants. Though this is very uncommon and is a decision that has been done without involvement of the lecturers, professors or students.

Esther Ericsson has been doing great work at Mejan. Losing her would be a great loss to the school. Her contract should be renewed!!!
I am a teacher assistant at the 3D labb and Esther is my colleague. I have started at the 3D labb as an internship and received employment here. All these times Esther has been a great teacher for the students to work passionate in their 3D projects: students always comes first in her work as a teacher. As a professional, she has a long lasting experience working in many different fields, such as theater, sculpture, opera and vfx studios. As my mentor, she has carved my path to become the artist I want, giving hope. As a friend she has my place in my heart and many others. She is one of the kindest teachers available in the school. And a few complaints about her disgusts me and further she now have to leave for that? Esther deserves to stay!!!
I want Esther Ericsson's contract to be renewed. On the occassions that I have spoken with Esther I have found her to be extremely professional, helpful, and genuinely passionate about her work for the school. I also want the communication and transparency that we were promised - how was this decision motivated, what is the justification? Is there no process of investigation and chance for remedy even if complaints have been received? In which case all staff are vulnerable to what could be seen as a type of potential 'mobbing', threats of 'dismissal', or blackmail by students without any redress. Surely this is can not be right.
Esther works every day to make seemingly impossible projects possible with a positive attitude! She really deserves credit for what she has acheived and to stay to finish what she has built up for us students!
Esther is very valuable for the 3D courses and her positive energy makes students intrigued to learn more in the field! If it wasn't for her I wouldn't have joined the course! We need her the because we need the 3D workshop
