As a driver, and a parent of kids who cycle, the roads here in Raanana are terrifying! The cyclists have no safe place to ride and therefore endanger both themselves and everyone on the road. With the huge number of bikes - electric and regular - on the road, bicycle lanes are an absolute necessity.

I feel bikes should have a registration number. It has become unsafe to take a walk on our side walks. I've had a few near misses

It would also keep pedestrians safe from the dangerous electric bikes.

It is so dangerous with the bikers riding on the side walks. I'm always afraid of getting hurt by them Also when driving on the street I see the kids driving all over the road instead of staying on the right It makes driving a problem with bikes on the street instead of a special bike lane

This is a pressing issue and needs to be addressed as a matter of priority. Residents of Ra'anana including school children should be encouraged to use their non-electric bikes to get around the city,in order to reduce congestion, but the roads are dangerous and the current bike paths are embarassingly sub standard compared to neighbouring cities. I wholeheartedly support this petition.

The law states electric bikes cannot be on a pavement yet kids have no road sense.

Time for change ! I'm scared to walk and scared to ride a bike in Raanana. Build a proper path and keep the walking and cycling residents safe !

I have had too many close shaves. These cyclists ignore all pedestrians and are a nuisance. The elderly are afraid of them.
