This petition has been created by parents and community members who are in support of starting a Spanish Immersion Program at Yuba City Unified School District with the goal of starting a TK/K and 1st Grade class in the 2023-2024 school year.
UPDATE: Great news - we have met our signature goal! If you have not already done so, please provide me with your child's date of birth and your best contact phone number. Feel free to message me on FB or text me at (914) 357-6754.
Once we have everyone's details, we can submit our petition to the Assistant Superintendent. Hoping we can get a meeting with her before the end of the year.

Send your child's birth date and your phone number to my cell so we can finalize our list for the Assistant Superintendent. Thrilled for this! What and incredible addition to our school district. Will 100% be signing up my children.
The benefits of having a Spanish Immersion Program in our community are tremendous. Not only would we be giving students the gift of fluency in a second language but studies have shown that bilingualism can also enhance cognitive skills and improve self-esteem. I look forward to working together with YCUSD so we can help bring this initiative to fruition.
