The E.S.A eligibility criteria at the moment is very varying. There are people being accepted who have mild mental health problems, but people who have just had heart surgery or some with terminal illnesses are being forced into searching for work? Around 40 - 50% of people who appeal (data obtained from local MP's office) get their decision overturned. This is because there is little to no medical information used in the assessments. Because someone can hold a pencil, walk more than 200m at a time and be able to go to unusual places without extreme difficulty they are expected to be able to work full time. This needs looking at again, medical info MUST be used. Epileptics with uncontrolled seizures, ANYONE suffering with cancer or other terminal or long term illnesses, and those with severe learning or socialising difficulties should be allowed to recover in piece. We should not be forcing people to work, especially when nearly half these people appeal and win. What a waste of time and money. These figures show that the system IS NOT WORKING! If you agree this system needs re-working, please sign my petition!! Thank you in advance
