Hens live for several years and can become like pets to their owners. People should be able to own them.

chickens don't kill the birds at my feeder,, crap in my yard and dig in my flower beds or bark in my ears half the night. If there pins are cleaned in a timely manner and they aren't allowed to roam freely, I don't see that they are a nuisance.

if a person wants to raise chickens in their backyard they should be able to do it. It's there responsibility no one else's to keep the coop clean so no one else suffers from the smell

Get with the times! Allow chickens within the city limits!
