It has come to the attention of the following students, listed below, that the actions of Heidi Erickson, have become and increasing disturbance to the learning process and classroom environment of fellow students. Her actions such as coming to class late (10, 15 and even 30 minutes after class has begun), making irrelevant comments during class instead of saving said remarks for after class, disrupting a professor’s lecture with irrelevant questions that would be best saved for after class, arguing with professors during lecture, making remarks that appear to challenge or lessen the leadership of the professor instructing, as well as creating an unnecessary disturbance with no attempts to be quiet when existing/entering class, using her cell phone (Siri) during class, as well as many other complaints. The full content of the lecture is often cut short due to the disturbances of Ms. Erickson. Many students are worried that their degree is no longer validated if the University allow Ms. Erickson, who has an animal cruelty criminal record, to obtain a degree in animal and equine sciences. We hope that by presenting this petition the University Administration will realize how much of a disturbance Ms. Erickson is to the academic learning environment for the student body.
