This is a petition for the President's Office at ERAU and whom it may concern. The students of the Daytona Beach Campus of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University would see it beneficial to enrollment if registration started at 12:01 a.m. on the day of enrollment. Many colleges and Universities open their enrollment at 12:01 a.m. on the date assigned. There are many benefits to changing the enrollment opening time from 8 a.m. to 12:01 a.m. Many students have class at the 8 a.m. open date, some have early morning flight blocks and tend to be in orals, simulations, and even flights. Implementing a 12:01 a.m. enrollment; you are giving students who are in class a chance to register while not impeding on their education and distracting them. In addition the flight students do not have to request that their instructor not schedule them for the morning of their enrollment date. Please consider this petition as a request to change future class registration times.
