Let's get rid of the front plate

I am strongly opposed to being required to have a licence plate on the front of my vehicle. Some of my vehicles have NO factory location to install one. Having to modify valuable collectable vehicles to meet this money grab by ICBC is infuriating. Please stop this stupid greedy initiative now. Attacking the residents of BC is not the answer! Instead you should be reigning in runaway ICBC management and overhead costs. I am so tired of ICBC's Sacred Cow status. Please stand up and say NO to this! Alan With

There is no decent option to mount a front plate on my collector car and I would very much like to use a year specific plate on it like in other provinces .

I agree, delete the front plate as the other provinces for obvious reasons...split bumper '71 Camaro. Most beautiful front end made super ugly with an add on lic. plate mount

Potential cost savings through the elimination of a front license plate are an obvious benefit to the Province. Front mounted plates are frequently damaged or pushed to an almost horizontal position by concrete parking bumpers or sidewalks, making them virtually useless for ID purposes. Replacement of a front plate requires the replacement of both, thereby incurring additional cost. Given that ALPR and OCR technologies are becoming more prevalent and effective tools for law enforcement and, apparently, are used primarily to scan rear plates, parked or mobile, they make a front mounted plate redundant.

I think it's ugly and I want to put a Euro style plate on the front. It would be much more stylish.

Alberta And Sask have no front plates. Why should we be different especially when most out of province vehicles dont have mounting locations?

Alberta & Saskatchewan are doing just fine with one plate.

I just wish they would be fine with it displayed on the dash. It's supposed to be securely and unobstructed, what better place than behind glass where the chances of it being covered by dirt or mud are greatly reduced. Also safe from damage or theft.

I believe if the law is changed, we should be refunded our $109.00 ticket amount, and it should be removed from what ever record it holds on our history.

Ugly, and completely pointless as we do not have photo radar anymore. Save money, make the vehicle look sleek. Everyone benfits
