According to UNICEF Report Card 10 ranks Canada the 18th place of 35 industrialized nations with a 14% child poverty and a 12% population poverty. Ontario has aPoverty Reduction Strategy in place. We are now asking the Federal Government of Canada to play its part to:

· Increase the national child benefit supplement

· Increase the minimum wage

· Implement a national child care programme

· Build affordable housing

·Reintroduce important surveys that provide data to be able to track progress
