THE EQUAL RIGHTS AMENDMENT Section 1. Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of sex. Section 2. The Congress shall have the power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article. Section 3. This amendment shall take effect two years after the date of ratification. If Congress again passes the Equal Rights Amentment will residents of Traverse City vote for the Amendment to pass in Michigan Women need this to be passed so that we can be treated more equal to men. Since the begaining of time women have had fewer rights and lower social status then men. To help women come to closer social status with men the ERA should be passed. Women have made great steps in gaining rights now another one must be made. To add the ERA to the Consitution not only does Congress need to pass it but 38 out of 50 states as well. Help support the ERA by saying that if Congress passes it you will vote.

Reaching this point in our campaign feels surreal given the long road we have traveled. It is exhausting to keep fighting for equality that should have been granted long ago, but seeing this level of momentum proves that we refuse to be ignored.
