Shame on the Board! This issue is for we, the owners to decide and to do that we should be given all of the facts and ALL of the options. The document created by the HP Communications Committee does just that.
The sham survey issued by the board must be reminded immediately!

If anyone from the Board is reading this,my question to you is "Why did the Board go to the trouble of deleting the land only option?" It seems like someone had to go out of their way to make sure we were not fully informed. Why?
The communication committee must have gone to a lot of effort to prepare their document. Why was their document edited by the Board before we received it?

Buy the land now through CDD. Then survey the residents as to preferred uses.

Looks to me like an excellent place for a future state of the art rec area with fitness center, sports courts, ball/utility field, bike/walking paths and plenty of parking, and would allow expansion of dining room/outside seating at the main clubhouse without tearing down the cart barn. Would also take pressure off the Lodge.

I agree, we need a land only option for future growth not just for additional golf. If cost is right should be well spent money for the community

Land is always a good investment and affords many possibilites for use. The survey itself was very brief and very perplexing with minimal questions.

They aren't making anymore land - I agree this opportunity comes only once. Unless the economy tanks, land prices in SWFL will continue to rise. We can buy it and take our time to develop it as we see fit. Worst case, we hold it and sell it later for a profit. Our golf community of 1600 is presently land-locked and this offers many options.

I agree that the land only option should be on the table. We are land locked and having more space would allow us to plan better instages. Stace has always been a problem. We could locate as an example: all fitness, pickleball, bocce ball (more space for parking at the tiki bar), walking & bike trails, fishinh and a place to enjoy nature.

I had heard that the Communications Committee was working on a survey re: land acquisition. I was quite surprised to receive a simple yes/no survey.. I did feel that more background information needed to be supplied to make an informed decision.

The survey needs to be redone outlining all options. Also there are rumors going around that Eagle Ridge is up for sale. Are we looking into this opportunity to acquire an operating 18 holes and a clubhouse for (possibly) significantly less money than acquiring Colonial 70?
