Need to take another look

It disturbs me that in this small close nit community, the elected Board of this community can not be trusted to dispense honest and unbiased information to it's membership. I agree that buying the property for our own protection as well as future options seems like a no brainer.

Agree that the survey submitted to the residents did not contain real factual information. The board is obviously against the acquition of the land. The numbers that they stated is erroneous and lacks fact. I am definitely in favor of purchasing the parcel to use at our discretion at some future date.

HP should buy the land to provide for any future uses.

I agree that we should purchase the land and decided at a later date how to use it.

As a homeowner in Heritage Palms we should be presented with every option available to us. I agree with others that the land use only purchase option should be our first priority. The Board should be held accountable for how they are preseting the surveys. The surveys must be structured to achieve reliable & quantifiable results from the owners in HP.

I don't think the acquisition of the 70 acre parcel is a good idea. The property is separated from HP by a channel of water that fairly well prevents intrusion on HP property. So, development of that site by another entity wouldn't appear to harm HP properties. And that same waterway could not be accessed from the HP site without construction of one or possibly two bridges. Then, there is the fact that the HP board is conducting a survey to upgade the clubhouse, pro-shop, exercise facilities, and golf cart storage area at a substantial cost to be recovered by a significant long-range dues increase. (Of which, I favor, at this point) I am 82 years old, so quite likely by the time this property would be purchased and developed, I will be dead. I would still be in favor of that acquisition, if I truly believed that it would add value to HP properties. I don't see that. Thank you for reading this. Jim Bubert

Survey needs to be redone to provide all options.

I agree that the 70 acres would be a good investment, even if a 9 hole golf course is never developed.

I think all things need to be done more fairly around here in general and that all surveys should be objective, rather than subjective, slanting in a certain direction.

Lets be open on this issue

I agree that this survey question should have been submitted to homeowners for input from us. Given the common sense of the matter, it saddens me the short sightness of the board not to even simply ask the question. Or is another reason why they would not pose the question, if so what is their reasoning? With my current understanding of the issue, it would be silly not to purchase the property for some future use golf course or not.

Let,s send out a new survey outlining ALL of our options. This should be done by the Communications Committee as they appear to be the most objective group on this subject !

It appears that Eagle Ridge is back on the market for yet another option to resolve the problem of accessability to golf during season.

I agree with this petition and suggest even looking at trying to buy Eagles Ridge Golf Course for us.

Hi Richard, the original document was attached to our email and included the option for purchase of the land, without immediate development. Appreciate your response!
