Dear President Shindle and Ms. McColl,

We understand that you have recently discovered a “human error” in the numbers on the most recent CATS tour produced by Troika and that the original investment was, in fact, recouped. We understand, too, that you are exploring the option of having an audit conducted of these findings to determine what the company of CATS is owed monetarily. Since our show, the United States tour of LOVE NEVER DIES, involved all of the same staff from Troika and was quite successful, as witnessed by our sold-out run at Atlanta’s 4000-seat Fox Theatre and Los Angeles’ Pantages Theatre, among so many other highly successful sit-downs, we would like to request an audit into the numbers on our show as well. We ran from September, 2017 until December, 2018 on an SET agreement and were frankly very surprised we never reached the recoupment level. It’s possible, of course, that we truly never did, but in light of the situation, we have our doubts, which you must understand.

Over the course of our time on LOVE NEVER DIES, safety was a constant concern. Weekly, our very real issues with the way things were being run on the show were taken to AEA through our deputies with almost nothing ever being done to fully address the problems. It was a common occurrence for light bulbs to shatter and rain glass down on performers onstage during a performance. It was a common occurrence for pyro technology to go haywire and actually singe and burn actors’ costume pieces and skin. As a company, we never felt fully supported by our union while we were out on the road. Now, with the swirling questions about Troika’s agreements with the union, we remain feeling out at sea and are asking for your help in quelling our minds about this chapter in our careers and our lives.

These times are hard, as you well know. We respectfully ask that you carefully consider this requestso we can be assured that we, too, were not subject to any error in the numbers, human or otherwise, intentional or not.
