The arbitrary banning of our four legged friends from the newly founded Rail trail, is unfair and causes our community to be at risk by travelling on dangerous roads. We are gaining momentum but we need to push past the hundred signature mark immediately. Text three fellow riders today and demand they sign this petition to secure our space on the trail. Your direct action is what forces the local government to listen to our concerns.

it is important horses and riders have safe places to go, and for most, that is the rail trail. many cant afford a trailer to travwlbto safe trails and when pushed to ride on roads it is unsafe fir horse, rider, drivers, padestrians.
Horses are our history and heritage. If manure is the issues request a manure badge on carriages. It allows people with mobility issues out as well. Let's be inclusive. Personally I hate bike flying by me and barely missing my on leash dog.
It infuriates me as a taxpayer that projects funded by taxpayer's that are designed for recreational use are only accessible to a privileged few when there is no justifiable reason to not allow this to be safely used and shared by many user groups including various equestrian groups.
The areas for riding are shrinking - what happens when there’s nowhere for folks to ride? I think people are concerned because they don’t know what todo when they come across horses on the trail but that is easily fixed with education....
We pay taxes, we contribute to the economy, we are losing so many of our trails, we SHOULD have as much right as the next citizen to enjoy these trails on horseback. Get creative with a scheduled time for horses so we can all share what our taxes pay for!!!

I am a member of The Garnett Valley Gang in Summerland we are Wild West reanactors in partnership with the RVSR and have raised close to $200,000 for local Charties ..Our members use this trail and have for many years and will for many more..
