We, the undersigned citizens and natives of South Bend, Indiana, believe in equal rights for all people.
-We are against discrimination in the workplace on the basis of one's sexual orientation. -We would like the laws of South Bend to reflect the values of a free society, where all people have equal protection under the law. -It is our hope that the visibility of our point of view on this issue will affect change in South Bend.
Our message to the South Bend Mayor and Common Council is simple: It is our duty to protect all minorities from unfair discrimination. Please reconsider your position on protecting your citizens' constitutional rights for equal protection under the law.
I have been reading the stories people are posting and every single one reminds me why my own brother deserves to feel safe in the city we call home. We are working behind the scenes to get these concerns in front of the Common Council so they can no longer ignore the reality of our neighbors.

Watching this momentum grow gives me so much hope that we can finally protect our neighbors from unfair treatment. Seeing our community rally behind this cause feels like a turning point for the city I love.

Everyone deserves the same rights at work. It is just basic fairness. So tired of seeing good people get fired for who they love.
