Although women have fought many battles to gain equality, women still earn 77 percent of what men earn in their careers in the United States. Women also have a harder time breaking through a glass ceiling that is in Corporate America. This glass ceiling is defined as a barrier that women whom are just as qualified as men in their careers can only reach so far solely bases on gender bias. This petition is for more gender equality, women should be able to go as far as they can in their careers without their gender holding them back. As well as breaking the glass ceiling, this petition can hopefully close the wage gap between men and women.
I have been meeting with corporate leadership to present these findings and push for transparent salary audits. Post this link on Facebook and email your representative to demand they back legislation that mandates equal pay. Do not stay quiet while these barriers persist.

We just hit a major turning point that proves people are tired of the pay gap and corporate barriers. Now is the time to build on this momentum by emailing your local representative to demand concrete policy action.

Its 2016 and this is still happening. Ridiculous. Work is work regardless of who is doing it.
